What an incredible experience it has been!
Our Clare Cares Foundation Holiday Skills Acquisition Program has come to a successful end, and we are incredibly grateful for everyone who contributed to making it possible.
From the very beginning, our goal was simple: to give children an opportunity to learn practical skills, discover their creativity, and make the most of their long holiday.
And what a journey it was!
The success of this program was not the work of one person. It was the result of a team that understood the assignment and worked together to make every session count.
Our trainers brought their expertise, patience, and passion into every class. They didn’t just teach the children; they encouraged them, answered their questions, guided their hands, and made learning enjoyable.
Our Clare Cares team and volunteers worked tirelessly behind the scenes, organizing materials, preparing ingredients, coordinating the children, supporting the trainers, documenting the sessions, and making sure everything ran as smoothly as possible.
There were plans to make, materials to prepare, logistics to coordinate, children to engage, and countless little details to manage. Yet, everyone played their part.
And the result?
Happy children. New skills. Beautiful memories. And a program successfully delivered.
The children learnt how to make different pastries and snacks, including chin chin, puff puff, buns, egg roll and cookies, as well as liquid soap. They didn’t just watch—they participated, practiced, created, and took home some of what they made.
That is what we love about practical learning: you can see the confidence growing right before your eyes.
